I decided to try my hand at making these delicious treats after tasting a homemade caramel made by my dear friend "Trudy." After she shared the recipe with me, I couldn't pull myself away from working on getting them just right. Thanks to Trudy, I have been making caramels for over 12 years now.
Caramels- A labor of love
Caramels are indeed a labor of love and patience. As it turns out, time and iteration creates a wonderful treat that's worth the wait. They are made from butter, brown sugar, sea salt, corn syrup, sweetened condensed milk, pure vanilla extract.
